What sort of train would forest animals ride? Hollow logs work well for passenger cars-- that's easy. But what about the locomotive? 

 



 

     I think we can agree that bear technology isn't as advanced as ours. So I went way back to one of the earliest steam locomotives, an English one built in 1829. It was named the "Rocket" on account of its astonishing speed-- 29 miles per hour! That seems plenty fast for a hibernation train.

     The old woodcuts like those above took me only so far. Then I found a model kit on Amazon, which gave me all the angles I needed.
