Hotel Deep took me nearly a year to write and another year to illustrate. The book is 40 pages (compared to the standard 32) of double-spread oil paintings. A lone sardine, separated from its school, searches the halls and galleries of Hotel Deep. He bumps into all sorts of odd creatures before reuniting with his fellow sardines.
