Word Builder is a book that rewards close attention. A boy begins with the letters of the alphabet and goes on to construct an entire world. As he does so, the letters incrementally merge into architectural shapes, but remain discernable until the final image. One professional reviewer, apparently glossing over the book, missed that and wrote a bad review. Others paid more attention and reviewed it favorably. You be the judge-- do you see the alphabetical building blocks in the top image?
